For an interested listener, nowadays, there are lots of options available online. And the quality of the music being produced is also very high. There are veterans, seniors and upcoming musicians producing and releasing high quality music. Among these, some concerts catch your attention for their subtle difference/uniqueness in presentation/content and give you that bit of "extra" joy that makes your exploration of music an enjoyable journey.
Some concerts are not all about sound, and can provide a visual treat too (I am not talking about sAris, kurtAs and jewellery

And music, as usual, is very nice. For example, take the kalpanAswara for the "jnAna mosaga". Loved the way the swaras were handled. There is a very nice mix of swara combinations, "pitch spread", laya patterns, sarvalaghu sections and pauses/glides/stretches. Whenever some interesting patterns emerge, a couple of rounds with slight variations around that pattern helps to draw the focus of the listener to the "beauty" of it. This can be seen at other places as well. AlApanas are also follow a similar pattern, with very smart usage of "soft touches" and "stresses" (Eg: check few minutes from 1:11:00). The slow kalpanAswara of the kAmbOji main has some nice touches which I liked. And a very enjoyable tani too!
Finally, for those listeners who look for something new and different, check out the kriti by MBK on dIkshitar - a rare kriti, in a rare raga, with some unique laya and lyrical patterns!
Enjoy....
