Even though he was quite popular in the 30s and 40s, not much is available on him.

I connect with the name vidvAn Venu Naicker instantly because my Father has documented that Vid. Venu Naicker was a famous mRdanga vidvAn in Madras, and that he accompanied my GrandFather Bhairavi Lakshminaranappa on December 14th, 1922. This was a Veena concert at Chella Hall in Madras.
