I am delighted to share that my review of the December season concerts have been published in the February months Sruti magazine. I have covered many concerts organised by Music Academy and few in person concerts I attended in Mylapore Fine Arts Club, Vani mahal, Arkay Convention Centre and Krishna Gana Sabha. There are some critical observations I have made which may raise some eyebrows also. Fine pictures add value to the article.

I read it. The tele-serial or toDarkadai analogy was perfect! Now the adherents of that bANi elsewhere were javvA-izhuttufying (Stretching it like a Taffy) SrI Syama Sastri svarajati in tODi.
It doesn't have to be like this : https://youtu.be/06dJBWmlk3w?t=18 - where our forumite munirao himself surprised by the gait chosen. But that in itself is instructive right? Is it really a turita kAlapramANam? Even if we say technically it is, musically it does not lose it's caukam.
What extra rAgam comes out from a kriti that has a grandeur of a yati and flow, by stretching it, except to make a silly point!
