Rag Vishnupriya is the janya of 32nd Mela Ragavarddhini. The notes are :Aro: S G M P D N S and AVR: S N D P M G M R S. The Song in this raga is sung by Sri.TVS. The title of the song is " Balasubramanyane..."

The composer is Tanjavur Shankara Iyer.

TVS announces right at the beginning that the creator of the raga and the composer is Tanjavur Sankara Iyer and also that he is in the audience. That is a great privilege for TVS.

You can also hears his explanation of the ragam without which MSG on the violin would have had trouble in his alapana.

Tanjavur Shankara Iyer has composed over 50 songs but only a handful are in print with notations. Sorry, I don;t have the notations for this song.
