A Practical Guide to South Indian Rhythm through Konnakkol
Dear Rasikas
Recently the book titled A Practical Guide to South Indian Rhythm through Konnakkol, authored by me (Mannarkoil J Balaji) was released worldwide on Amazon as paperback and Kindle version.
The book is now available in India. Please contact 9962030766 or laya4all@gmail.com.
The book covers extensive and exclusive laya exercises for any aspiring musician or who wants to hone their skills on laya. The lever is basic to Mid level.
I plan yo bring out advanced topics like Moharas, Korvais, Koraippu etc in Vol 2, which is likely to be released next year.
Hope to get a good response through Rasikas.

Ordered 4 copies of paperback. I am gifting some to students who are having or had Mridangam arangetrams. And I see a few from female side also doing arangetrams.
So Sri Balaji sir, Paper backs have value beyond just the content
.
A book on the shelf is a piece of art by itself

Yes sir I understand but the model (I hv omitted the word business bcz it's not my livelihood) of Amazon paperbacks in India sucks. Hence I hv decided to direct sell in India. For rest of the world paperback is available.

For them music or content may be worthless but for us, priceless. Difference between zero & infinity is not that much , just a reciprocal

Well now beyond social media, with AI, "business" has gone to the extent that a private equity firm bought a steel plant not for making steel but for the power grid! They want build or sell it to, would be data center builders. AI is power hungry Sir - pun intended!
We still cringe to mention the word "business", yet when we step out of our home or even sitting at home now, we have payables! What about receivables?

Balaji,
I am mighty pleased to hear about your book, of course. Laya-impaired individual I might be, but I do treasure what you folks bring to us where even us, gnAna Sunyams in that area relish your playing. Your fine strokes on stage in performances are not forgotten.
Wishing you the gainful publishing of more books and in your bringing your excellent khAndAn's expertise to the young mridangam aspirants of today. nallASigaL
