Annual function of Rohini Nritya Vatika Academy, New Delhi

The Annual Function of Nritya Vatika Classical Dance School , in collaboration with the "Balshree" Tiruvarur T.S. Shriram Memorial Trust , was held on the evening of Saturday, November 23, 2024 , at the LTG Art Gallery, Mandi House, Delhi . The event was graciously supported by the T.S. Shriram Memorial Trust.

The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest and guest of honor , marking the traditional inauguration.

Under the guidance of Guru Harpreet Kaur , students of Nritya Vatika showcased captivating Bharatanatyam performances , which transported the audience to the enchanting worlds of Ramayana and Mahabharata through their artistic expressions.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of Nritya Vatika Akademi's Achiever Awards 2024 to three talented young dancers: Kumari Natasha Rohilla, Srishti Singhal , and Pakhi Pant .

The event saw participation from eminent personalities, including Mrs. Buma , Additional Member of the Railway Board , K.V.K. Perumal , President of Delhi Kampan Kazhagam, Dr. Kaushik , Deputy Secretary of the Sangeet Natak Akademi , and noted dance educators Lekha Sharma and Rajini Dogra .

While presenting the awards, Mrs. Buma emphasized the importance of integrating arts with academics, remarking, “Arts have the power to channel children's energy positively and nurture their holistic growth.” She drew inspiration from the wisdom of Thiruvalluvar and Bharatiyar to highlight the role of culture in education.

In his address, K.V.K. Perumal praised the multicultural efforts of the students, saying, “It is commendable that students from diverse linguistic backgrounds are excelling in Bharatanatyam. While technology has connected the world, it is the arts that unite human hearts.”

The program was skillfully hosted by Ms. Khushi Mahajan . The event’s seamless arrangements were coordinated by Mr. Jeet Singh , founder of Nritya Vatika Traditional Dance School , and Mr. M.V. Thiagarajan , founder of Balshree Tiruvarur T.S. Shriram Memorial Trust .

The evening was a true celebration of tradition, talent, and cultural unity.
