Re: Translations/Meaning of Nada Murali Gana
The Pallavi and Anupallavi are simple names of Krishna in Sambodhana (addressing him)
I've picked out the Sahitya part of the Charanam. Instead of continuing in Sambodhana , these are in the Fourth case (Chaturthi Vibhakti), so it is required to add a "namah" somewhere to make meaning correctly. The first phrase here "manda gamana jita vAraNE" is the seventh case, which cannot be. So I take it as "manda gamana jita vAraNa" (again addressing him)
manda gamana jita vAraNa - O One surpassing an elephant with (the beauty of) your slow gait !
namah - Salutations (This has to included somewhere for the rest of the phrases to be appropriate)
bhava bandha bhaya haraNa nivAriNE - to the one who removes and prevents the fear of worldly bondages
ati sundara manmata rUpiNE - to the one whose form as lovely as Manmatha's,
mukha mandahAsadyuti dhAriNE - who bears the radiance of a smile on his face,
bhuvi-kArinE - to the creator of the world,
giridhAriNE - to the one holding a mountain!
vara nupura kankaNa kinkiNi shalanga shabdha vicitram - Wondrous is the sound of the superior anklets, bracelets and their jingling bells.
PS : Apart from vAraNE changed to vAraNa, nivAriNE and kArinE changed to align with other fourth case phrases. Currently they are in seventh case (Saptami) and cannot fit here.
