Shri Nalli Kuppuswami is one of the biggest kingmakers for all of us in chennai to enjoy. Nice write up especially when he says "Look at it like this. With the increase in the number of sabhas, rasikas are catching up with the artists at places convenient to them. ". There is so much positivity. I hope his children and grandchildren are just having the same passion. He is really an important patron for all of us.

On 29th Nov, 2025 when i attended the first inaugural concert of Asthika samajam in alwarpet . There was a brief introduction. Nalli sir just spoke for less than 5 mins - his passion was inspiring . When he went out prior to the concert, he just sat next to me briefly as he was waiting for his car . I just asked him what was his first concert .
Nalli Sir said when he was 10 years of age , SS Vasan (Film personality) for his daughters marriage he went with his father . I asked what was his first concert . For 2 days they had 3 concerts he recollect MK thyagaraja bhagavathar and then there was TN Rajarathinam pillai and he was surely bit more ga ga there . He could not recollect third that well , possibly it was GNB. All said when he said TN Rajarathinam pillai - nagaswaram. I was thinking what TNR did for a 10 year old , roughtly 70 plus years he still continues to show the patronage . Small photo taken with Nalli Sir. I was also internally thinking with our MK Ramasubramanian Sir who also started with TNR. Both MKR sir and Nalli Sir start with TNR and then possibly all the concerts from there on is a bit of a downhill
