Violin Manda Sriramya

I went more for the violin as she plays v well

Era napai - 2 speeds
Siddhi vinayakam -outline raga- swarams - Mohanakalyani - was okay - they were settling
Kannada alapanai - few shruti issues - Vasantha came once or twice and akaaram phrases shruti was lost a bit - hamsavinodhini came Maand also came and I think maybe once I heard a pratimadhyama occurring sounded like kalyani - alapanai had both speeds but lacked a bit of maturity overall

Duo vocal artistes keep saying sabaash to each other during the alapanai or swarams etc - find that a bit distracting - yesteryear Bombay sisters or Priya sisters never did so much - nowadays RAga sis started the Sabhaash trend and now Malladis , trichurs also doing
Subject sisters also did many times - did not liken

Sri mathrubhootham kruthi rendered well but there were some weakness moments especially in the lower octaves- Nandika voice was bit affected by weather maybe - swarams at sadasivam paramsivam - good singing - sdpm prayogam used effectively in one round to arrive at sadasivam. Albeit there were fee shruti issues and also some laya issues in the swarams - main round did not come to idam first time - they tired again and finished simply - Mridangam also just ok ok accompanying

Vagadeeshwari alapanai - Nandika inspite of not v cooperating voice sang a very detailed, intense and touching alapanai - violin alapanai was not long but excellent - vocal alapanai was good but sometimes heard kamas and nattai separately and not as one ragam - violin didn’t have that problem it was a very cohesive rags entity - kruthi was okay presentation started from anupallavi and also niraval was good but had some Shruthi lapses and also sometimes laya issues during the niraval but they came to idam well - sometimes when the duos voices don’t sync it is a bit jarring but it’s a con of singing as a duo while the pros are the support duos can give to each other
Second speed niraval by nandika was done well - then swarams - in swarams we could feel Neyveli Mama and Sriranjani style a bit especially the latter
Korvai done at Dhaivatam by the trio
One of the swaram round in 5s ndnpd etc was v nice
Second speed swarams was very nice

Possibly they could sing a rtp

Dhanam tharum kalvi - virutham in mand started - I left at that point
Overall a good concert
