Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar Award" for TMK and others
In a befitting function, yesterday (Mar 23, 2007) in New Delhi, TM Krishna and others were awarded the "Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar Award".
It was followed by a very small concert of TMK. He was accompanied by Sri Vittal Ramamurthy on the Violin, Manoj Siva on the Mridangam and Karthick on the Ghatam. He started with a Dikshidar Krithi in Nata Narayani and a Pallavi in Bhairavi in Khanda Jumpa thalam. Sahana and Varali were pallavi ragamalikas. He concluded with a thillana in Shankarabharanam.
The other receipients from the carnatic music field were, Malladi Brothers, Manoj Siva and Ghatam Karthick.
