I must say the above event was a grand success and way beyond expectations I had when we started planning for the event. Contrary to my belief Annamachrya krithis are quite popular in Chennai. This is reflected in the attendance on May 2nd for the artha akhandham organised at IIT Madras. Also number of singers are tamil speaking people.

Overall about 400 people participated in the day long event and rendered about 200 compositions with great devotion depsite the scorching heat and not so comfortable hall. I hope all the prayers reached the Lord Venkateswara. The dance program by young children (the last event in the day) was outstanding as well. Kum.Sahana danced beatifully for song Tandanana in Bowli. Wonderful expressions
