I would like to revive the piece , as I have forgotten it almost entirely. Unfortunately I do not have any notation for it , so understanding the lyrics would be crucially important. ..
[ Here Rama is talking to Hanuman before he leaves to rescue Sita ]:

CHARANA 1:
muni oruttan yAshika pin shenru tATakaiyai
panai pol vizha aDittEn pagaruvAi I sholli
CHARANA 2:
koDum kAnaDandu vara kUDAdenru nAn sholla
naDuginAL vAvenrEn nagaittAL appOdu mella
CHARANA 3:
mAnai piDittu en vasham tArOm enru

nI uraippAi hanumAnE = you (nI) will announce/say (uraippAi), Oh hanumAn
nAn sonnadAga = that I (nAn) have asked you to (SonnadAga)
unnai yAr ena vinaviDil = If anyone enquires (vinaviDil) who (yAr) you are (unnai)
shrI raghava dUtan enDru = that you are (endru) the messenger (dUtan) of SrI rAmA (rAghavan)
If anyone enquires of you (from the get go, he believes that hanumAn is the one who is most likely to succeed, and 'anyone' refers specifically to sItA) Oh hanumAn, please let them (her) know that I, SrI rAmA have sent you as my messenger.
CHARANA 1:
muni oruttan yAshika = Since a (oruttan) muni (refers to viSwAmitra) requested (yAcikka means beg literally)
pin shenru = I/We walked/went (shenru) behind (pin) him
tATakaiyai panai pol vizha aDittEn = and I felled/killed (aDittEn) tATakA (tATakaiyai) so that she fell (vizha) to the ground like a humungous mountain (I think the word should be paNai - not panai - experts can confirm)
pagaruvAi = you will transcribe/narrate this incident
I sholli = NOT CLEAR
To lend credence to the fact that hanumAn is indeed the genuine article, rAma tells him some incidents so that his bona fides can be verified by someone who is privvy to these details (like sItA would be sure to):
In C1, he narrates the story of tATakAvadham very succinctly - a rishi requested, so I went with him, and felled tATakA like a mighty oak...
CHARANA 2:
koDum kAnaDandu = very hard/severe (koDum) forest (kAnagam)
vara kUDAdenru nAn sholla = So, when I said (nAn Solla) 'do not come' (vara kUDAdenru)
naDuginAL = she trembled with fear
vAvenrEn nagaittAL appOdu mella = and she smiled (nagaittAL) slightly (meLLA) when I relented and agreed to her coming (vAvenrEn)
This refers to the fact that when rAmA doesn't want sItA to accompany him to the forrest, he paints a picture of all of the hardships, she a princess of ayOdhyA and mithilA will have to endure there, to dissuade her. She comes back with the arguement that her 'kingdom' is where ever He chooses to be at...and he relents - although naDunginAL seems a bit extreme - I felt (based on the sentiment of eppaDi manam of AK that she was more angry and upset that afraid!)
CHARANA 3:
mAnai piDittu = Please catch (piDittu) the enchanting/enchanted deer (mAnai0
en vasham tArOm = and give it (tArum) in my (en) hands (vaSam - custody)
enru nI uraittadinAlE = because you (enru nI) uttered this request (uraittadanAlE)
vanda vinai tAn idu = that this (tAn idu) situation/hardship/problem (vinai) has come (vanda) upon us
And finally, the uttamA nAyaka shows that he is a mere human being: he asks hanumAn to tell sItA that all of this was of her doing: all for want of that blasted, enchanted 'golden' deer!
