That classical Carnatic Music can be offered joyfully and .enjoyed by the rasikas was in fore on that day….an inheritance from her Guru D K Jayaraman. Each of the Krithis and the manner of singing reminded one of her Guru.
It was refreshing to see all the three artistes on the dais with smiling faces.
. Classicism was inbuilt into every phase of the concert….. be it raga prasthara, neraval, appropriate swaras, all in good proportion..
I went late to the concert when Aparadhamula (Lathangi) was being sung.The rich musical fare that followed were Bhajare Re Manasa (Abheri), Kandu Kandu (Mohanam), Chakkaniraja(Karaharapriya), and Narayana(Suddha Dhanyasi).
An evening of enjoyable classical music.
