I couldn't find any kirtana starting with 'Anudinamu' in 'The Spiritual heritage of Tyagaraja' (I checked this immediately after hearing the song) but those are the starting words and 'Narayanaya namo Madhavaya' is a song I've heard Sri.OST sing at a concert I'd been to (at Coimbatore) where he elaborated the raga-he announced the name, but I didn't get it!

Where a janya raga could fit under two (or more) melas there is a practice to list it under the mela with the lower melakartha number.jayaram wrote:Curious to know why this cannot be classified under Hemavati, if the madhyamam is varjyam.
Is it because it has more of a Kharaharapriya flavour to it??
Using this schema, Mohanam is listed under Harikambhoji (28th mela) not Sankarabharanam, Vachaspati (64) or Kalyani (65).
