2. What is the special in him ? voice or presentation or Raaga imagination (mano dharma) or neraval ...
3. Who is his guru
4. any albums in his name
Thanks in advance.

Dear rajaglan:
1. Abhishek Raghuram is the grandson of Padmasri Palghat Raghu(PR), the great mrudangam maestro and disciple of PMI
2. What I have found out it in him as outstanding is manodharma(imaginative singing), kanakku(math) and vidwat (genius). He is indeed a child prodigy, but often tends to be a bit prodigal while singing! Many a time I've felt if he could limit the sangatis where he should. But his unbridled energy and creativity has its own charm...
3. His guru is Shri P.S.Narayanaswamy (PSN), though I felt the influence of PR in his music is equally there or more..
4. None to my knowledge.
Hope this was useful enough. Don't miss out the next chance
Apasruthi
P.S. He is an excellent khanjira player and accompanies many leading Vidwans like Sanjay, TMK, OST, Neyveli etc. along with his grandfather

I have attended Abhishek Raghuraman's concert. He is the grandson of Shri Palghat Raghu. Speciality is the combination of Raga bhavam, manodharma and the impeccable kanaku in the kalpanaswarams. Besides his grandfather, I believe he learnt from Calcutta Krishnamurthy (I may be wrong here). His concerts would be the farthest away from light music.

Why don't we get to hear wonderful artistes like Shri CN Chandrashekar or Shri Cheluvaraj in chennai? Am sure they must be willing to perform. If only our sabhas would invite them...
