IMHO the chenchurutti presentation appears to be better as the khamas needs elongation of certain sangathis for tALam sake. I was aware that khamas was intruding but could not help as I wanted to present the piece as it was heard though the original ragam is HK. You can treat it as a sort of medley of these two. TRM's notes and style are quite different. Rather we may align it with KRR.
