I would not agree with padminikalyan. It was a concert 'just okay' level. Kalyani was boring. Blessed is UK to have many fans.

1. I think the first raga in RTP ragamalika was Ranjani and not Sivaranjani.

2. Chandrajyothi alapana is rare and was very well done :)

3. Kapi RTP was in khanda triputa, the pallavi was chosen appropriately for the Gokulashtami festival and Unni's performance was impeccable all the way through.

4. Vittal Ramamurthy was in very good form and provided excellent support.

I do not agree with Sindhu! The entire concert was wholesome! The Kalyani was beautiful.Very elegant! The pretaani sessions had a great variety.Chandrajyothi was so fresh and filled with bhava! The slow ChandraJyothi and DevaDeva were so filled with divinity and richness and the MaaMayura meedilerivaa in Bilahari was so brisk and filled with energy. The innovations brought about in the kalpanaswaras and the talas are worth mentioning.Unni knows how to captivate the audience. The RTP was a classic example.Kaapi was amazing! No words to describe it.We were all literally swaying and dancing to the RTP.It got a special round of applause and the applause only died after Unni bowing twice! The postthaani session was always his strength.Greatr choice of songs.Very pleasant and fitted the series well(all hymns of Lord Krishna). An excellent and impeccable performance on the whole!Vittal Ramamurthy was excellent. The entire team synchronised very well! The last but not the least,it was one of his best performances. No doubts about that!

Unnikrishnan repeats his ragas far too often. Chandrajyoti and Kaapi have been featured too often in his concerts in the near past. A couple of years ago, it was Hamsanandi and Khambhoji. Thank God, has has given Kharaharapriya a break (which had started becoming a regular feature in his concert)

At least he is changing it every couple of years! Which is doing a lot better than some of the other "senior vidwwans" out there! :)
