I have been reading translations of the song VATAPI GANAPATHIM (Dikshitar - Hamsadhvani).
Can some one please explain this particular line more clearly?

This refers to origination and manifestation of sound in the body -
'parA' - above the other lower stages of speech known as pazyanti, madhyamA and vikharI –
‘pazyanti’ (speech in the inaudible stage),
‘madhyamA’ (speech in the middle stage of its expression) and
‘vaikharI’ (uttered audible speech).â€
