Isn't the swAmijI a composer in his own right? I think I have heard Smt. Vijayalakshmi Subramaniam render a few of his compositions.
Do you have the lyrics of his mother's compositions?

Yes. There are two books of bhajans by him.
I don't have any information about his mother Mathrusri Jayalakshmi's work.
