sAmi ninnE cAla nammiti = O lord, I believed only you very much, nAdupai = on me, calamElarA = why this neglect?

poncarA = Please wait, vilu vancarA = Bend the bow, caramincarA =?, dayayuncarA = have pity,

yAlarA = why, nE pAlarA = ?, nannElarA = protect me, va(g)d(ay)ElarA = why discussion,

Elu Elu nannElukOra = rule, govern and reign over me, sabhASur(E)A = it's great, kOdaNDapANi = O one with bow in the hand, daNDapANi = O lord SivA, (literally one with a stick in the hand, in liturature used for Yama or Siva), salAmayya = salutations to you.

There is a play on the sounds of words,( Sabdalankara) but not much depth to the meanings.

nE pAlarA = ?,

this should be nE bAlarA = I am a young girl

Here is the text of the sabdam by one of the TQ. The text was in tamil script and I think the language is telugu. So I am not sure of the wording. Someone please proofread. Thanks.

sripada Ji,

On the basis of a few correct words I can make out,

I feel this sabdam may not be suitable for your daughter's age.

Corrected sabdam::
veNukaTa alivENulADina sanna cekkula
pinna paDucu cannulaNTi nade manna nIvaga lEmirA
nikka muganE ninnu paraga veDi mOha paracuTa tagunA
mElu vADanE cAla kOrina balarA IvELa mOhamu tALarA
jAlamu yAlarA bAla shrI gOpAla nannElarA

**************

Meaning::

The young maiden,whose bee-dark tresses danced on her back,

the tender cheeked young girl, you touched her bosom

is it your amorous act?

Is it truly possible to request you to remain infatuated?

Assuming that you are the best, I am the maiden, desirous of you.

Now, I can no longer endure this fascination, why are you deceiving [me]

young ShrI gOpAla, protect me.
