The program started at 6:00 p.m. with only a limited audience, but the small auditorium filled up as the concert progressed. The brothers' voice modulation was quite similar to that of their guru Neduneri Krishnamurthy. The alternation between the brothers during neraval and swara presentations was so perfect that it was somewhat reminiscent of the late Alathur Brothers. ( It is questionable
if ANY pair could really equal Alathur Bothers ! ) An RTP &/or a ragamalika were the only items missing in an otherwise well planned concert of a good selection of ragas and songs of different compsers.

Overall it was an exhilarating concert well supported by Embar Kannan and Neyveli Narayanan. It was well worth the 100 miles drive each way to Tampa.

I attended their concert in Dallas-Fortworth area this weekend(Fri, Nov 9, 07). It was just a superb concert and I was so happy I was there. Most of the pieces were of unique ragas except the varnam(thodi), main piece(shankarabharanam) and the thukkadas.

I would say don't miss their concert if you get a chance.
