On Fridays, Worldspace's Shruti channel broadcasts a program called "colors of a raga" anchored by one who introduces himself as G Ravikiran. Can anyone confirm if he is the same as Chitra veena Ravikiran. I thought that Chitra veena Ravikiran is N Ravikiran. But the lucid comments by the anchor of the program makes me think that this has to be Chitra veena Ravikiran

Thanks for all the response. As mentioned earlier the "colors of a raga" program is being admirably hosted. Would like to seek members' views on the following:

1. The host explains clearly the anya swara(s), jeeva swara(s), permissible prayogams and illegal prayogams etc. These are explained in plain prose.

(A) Would it add value to the program if the host supplements the explanation by a short (say upto 10 seconds) singing (OR)
(B) Does this violate RJ dharma that the RJ himself should not indulge in lec-dem

2. When two allied ragas are taken up, one raga is handled in the first hour and the other in the second hour.

Alternating the two ragas throughout the program would

(A) help listeners internalize the subtle differences between the two ragas (OR)
(B) confuse the listeners

3. Should it be

(A) Mridanga and Ghata (OR)
(B) Mridangam and Ghatam
