idara devatara - bahudAri - Adi - A
Adi dEva paramAtamA - sindhubhairavi - Adi - A

A nice concert. The highlight was the amazing danyAsi AlApanai. The svarams in nATTai reminded one of the pancaratnam. The neraval and svarams in malayamarutam were quite off beat and had some hindustani influences. The AlApanai of kannaDa and the svarams were nice also. All kriti renditions were good. They could have cut down a tukkaDa or two to finish on time, so that the next concert could have started on time as well.

Sri Kannan was good thro' the concert and gave fitting replies. Sri Raja Rao and Sri Karthick kept up the beat and played very nicely. The tani was nice also.

I too attended that "full house" concert. KannaDa Raag was heard, after a long time. I found MBs take rare kritis and render it beautifully. Dipakam looked like Pantuvarali. Any one could give the AArohanam and Avarohanam !. Sad, they were in 5-7 slot. I will try to upload Kannada very soon.

True, I could see Dr.Ramani and Tiruvarur Bhakthavatsalam were restless waiting for their turn of 7 PM Slot.

The previousday, Sudha Ragunathan also rendered Danyasi (Sangeetha Jnanamu..) in BVB. Co-incidence.
