Gayathri like her Guru, T.N. Seshagopalan, never disappoints rasikas especially when it comes to presenting concerts with a purpose. Her selection of songs consisted of both familiar and not so familiar kritis would satisfy all those who stand for exclusive‘Tamil Isai’concerts. She was successful in sustaining audience interest throughout the concert.

Sotrunai Vediyan a tevaram in Kedaragowla ( Pnn:Gandhara Pancharam) usually sung in in 1st and 2nd ‘Kala’ was rendered in Misra and chatusra nadai alternatively which was not only interesting but also pleasing to years.

The sensitivity with which she presented Kritis of Gopalakrishna Bhratiyar and Thooran spoke of her hard work in bringing out the emotions intended in respective kritis.
The main piece was in karaharapriya and of the composer to whose lineage she belongs. The exposition of raga suggested of her efforts in capturing and portraying the beauty of the raga in its full blossom on the lines of stalwarts of yester years.
Akkarai Subbalakshmi did her part faithfully. The percussion exchanges were more musical compared to efforts in high decibals usually experienced in concerts
