SOUL-STIRRING SREE RANJANI by VILASINIâ€™s BVB concert (19.12.07)

Vilasiniâ€™s concerts have a dubious record of bringing rains either before or after And this time too it went with the customary belief.But for a change, it musically rained / reigned inside the auditorium soaking with SREE RANJANI AND (BADAM)-KHEERVANI
This was the feeling with which one could have left after the memorable concert at the BVB (19.12.07) which added one more feather to itâ€™s cap in excavating talents.
All the aesthetic nuances of this great raga was not only portrayed with consummate skill Being the illustrious disciple of Smt.Rajee she stuck to her strict pataanthara with disciplined innovations.Her Sancharas in Sri Ranjani revealed vidwat in no un certain manner.The lengthy phrases and kaarvais with continuity in Alaapanai exercises could more than adequately bear testimony to her musical credentials..
She started the fare with the Nalinakanti Varnam, followed by Ch.Vaham kriti Gajaanana yutham.
SriRanjani (Bhuvini)Thyag. Was rendered with punch and verve.As a fast tempo filler she presented Karpaga Manohara â€“(PS)
The ( BADAAM )KHEERVANI essays was a real treat to the soul.There is no doubt about this .And Vilasini exhibited her vidwat by resorting to the GKBâ€™s jewel INNAMUM SANDEHAPPADALAMAA ? and the concluding phrase (ISHA) after the tani she deployed , itself revealed her everlasting penchant and flair for innovations within the grammatical boundaries..

Undan Padam Vendinen-Revathy (a composition of KR) was presented with involvement.
Melakaveri thyaga rajan rendered exemplary support and did well in Sri Ranjani and keervani.
Thenpercussion support was also good in spite of occasional irksome shruti unison. LGJâ€™s DESH Tillana was the concluding piece.

Any review on the BVB mini hall concerts (10 to 4 pm) of 19/12. In fact, I could not visit any concert hall yesterday.

Yes Sindhu it is K.ramaraj shortly known as( Kr) as per Karnatik.com website.
