I have come across in these columns, rasikas giving praise to the depth of knowledge in carnatic music possessed by mr R S kasthurirangan, disciple of the great Mr TNS. One of the reasikas made a remark that inspite of his excellent talents exhibited in his concerts, he has not been recognised yet by the Sabhas in Chennai. It is unfortunate that he has not been given any chance during the current season by any one sabha. Should there be a reason for this situation. Is it due to lack of PR skills in Mr RSK. I have known him personally but I am unable to guess the reasons. Will anyone throw some light on this situation. Everyone who attended and experienced his concerts said that he should be encouraged.
One of the songs that I love to hear him singing is CHODUDIYA KYON CHODUDIYA-RAM BHAJANKU KYON CHODUDIYA composed by Kabirdas.

I have not attended any of his concerts, but did download few numbers. He definitely has merits and unfortunately he is not very recognized.
