J B Sruthi Saagar - Flute
Rahul - Violin
Parthasarathy - Mridangam
J B Sruthi Saagar is a youngster aged about 17 gave an excellent concert for Ramana Kendra. I joined the concert a little late.
Vaagadeeshwari was scintillating and exhilarating. The level of vishraanthi the artiste has got at such a young age is really amazing and needs to be appreciated profusely. Paramathmudu was taken at almost the speed of a 4 Kalai Aadi Tala and was maintained throughout. Such young age and great control of laya and kalapramana. His raga was very good and his kriti rendition was remarkable. Next he played another fast kriti in Guharanjani. He took up Poorvikalyani as his main item wherein he played Paramapaavana Rama. Rahul, he is also a young player and disciple of M Chandrasekaran sir, accompanied very well. Parthasarathy, disciple of Guruvayur Dorai sir did a nice job and played neat tani in Poorvikalyani. An interesting feature of his tani was that he started all his korvais from samam and brought his ending points to the eduppu of the song which is 1 beat after samam. He played thisram korvai also starting from samam to Idam.
J.B.Sruthi Saagar is a disciple of Kalaimamani Dr.Sundar (disciple of Sri DKJ).
