Here is the songlist from Hyd Brothers/Peri Sriramamurthy (V)/Srimushnam Raja Rao (M)/Mayavaram Somu (Kanjira) concert at IFAS last friday. The highlights of the concert were Reethigowlai & Pantuvarali. Count me in the list of folks that are unable to appreciate lengthy bEgadas. I like it just fine as short essays and even short songs.

I don't know why the organizer/sabha secretary has to mandatorily showcase his music sensibilities/skills in the midst of the concert. Wasted 10 minutes in between due to that.

This was followed by a TM Krishna concert that was delayed more than 20 minutes and started around 7:50 instead of 7:30. He started with darbar varnam (calamela) followed by kamas (sitapate) and then a fantastic malayamarutam alapana. I had to leave ( ) as he just started manasa etulOrtune
