It was an excellent way to say goodbye to 2007. a carnatic concert by Smt.Gayathri Girish at Delhi Tamil Sangam on 30th december. it was freezing cold yet the auditorium was full. the concert was a bit delayed due to speeches given. the occasion was special, being Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi's Jayanti celebrations. Gayathri Girish was invited to sing for the special occasion. and as usual she gave a splendid performance including songs dedicated to Sri Ramana Maharishi. the accompanists from delhi too were very good. it is very long time since i listened to morsing.
