Lec Dem at NGS on 31st dec 07

Kausalya sivakumar gave a lec dem on Vaggeyakarargal kanda Hanumar. She was vocally assisted by Chitra nandakumar and Sujatha krishnakumar and also with violin and mrudhangam. It was a musical discourse/ Harikatha rather a lec dem and a real feast for the rasikas.
The subject was taken up in two parts. Most of the references were taken from Kamba Ramayanam and Valmiki

2. Bakthi
The following kritis were sung with explanations then and there.
Mukya prana ella guruvae. Kambodhi
Anumantha maha bali by Tukkaram
Saranu Saranu vayu deva by Purandaradasa
Vittu vidada seethaiyai Arunachalakavirayar Ramanataka keerthanai
Veera Hanumanthae by MD
Bakthi
Pahi Rama dhootha Thyagarajan in vasantha varali
Anjaneya Raghu rama dhootha Swathi in saveri
Peyalvar pasuram in kundala varali
Kandane kandae seethaiyai AKRayar. Rama nataka
She concluded her discourse by singing Bavamana also , as it was a concluding progm for this year
Shri NV Subramaniam of Saraswathi gave a vote of thanks praising her all out efforts in bringing such wonderful presentation.
