P: My Lord (aiyyanE)! Can anyone else (vErevar) other than you (unai allAdu) be as nurturing as a father (tandai) and/or mother (tAi) to this devotee of yours (tamiyEnukku) who is forever involved in service (paNi) at your feet (tALinai).

A: Since (mudal) my (en) innocent (EdaiyE/EtaiyE) youth (iLamai), Oh murugA (skandA – in his form as a young child – kuzhandai)) you have established (amarnda) yourself in my thoughts (cintai).

Leader (ISA) of the gods (amarar)[1] who mounts/rides on top of (vAhanA) of a beautiful (azhagiya) peacock (mayil)[2], you are the son of Lord SivA (SivakumarESA) who destroyed (azhitta) the army (paDai) of demons (asurar)[2]. Oh husband (kAntA) of vaLLI, who came (vanda) to her in the form (vaDivODu) of a bent old man (kizham), the bells on the anklets that adorn your lotus-like feet (pAdAravindA) tinkle (kiNkiNi) and produce music (gIta) even as you walk.
[1] – amara + ISA – amarISA/amarESA.
[2] – the reason/kAraNam for the birth of murugA was to destroy the demon sUra padma and his hordes. sUrapadma had conquered the 3 worlds and had imprisoned indrA and established himself on the divine throne of dEvEndra. It was prophesied that only a son born of SivA would be able to vanquish him. At that time, SivA had gone into deep penance after sati/dAkSAyaNI had self-immolated herself. sati was reborn as pArvatI, and she came to the place where SivA was in penance and devoted herself to serving his needs. SivA, the yOgi, continued with his meditation unaware of pArvatI’s charms. The impatient gods sent manmathA to hasten things – but that tactic misfired and things went back to square one, until, pArvatI took matters into her own hands and won SivA over with severely austere penance, as aparNA. After umApariNayam, comes kumArasambhavam (the birth of murugA), and the fulfilling of the prophecy. murugA, empowered by a divine spear (vEl) from his mother (SaktI – hence, murugA is also known as vElavan, vElan, SaktivEl murugan etc), becomes dEva sEnApatI (the leader of the army of the dEvAs) and destroys sUrapadma’s army, and vanquishes sUrapadma – the repentant demon, before his death requests that murugA grant him the boon of eternal proximity to the lord – murugA then splits him into 2 – a SEval (rooster) that he places on his flag (hence, he is referred also to as SEvalkoDiyAn), and a peacock, that he co-opts as his vAhana. After his victory, the grateful dEvEndran alters his status from a mere dEva sEnApati to dEvasEnA pati (husband of dEvasEnA or dEvakunjarI – indra’s foster daughter – so, he is also called dEvakunjaribAgA)

endaiyE or entaiyE will also be correct in this context. It means, 'my Lord/my Master', so with endaiyE, the AP will now be:
