as jayk has said, it was fabulous 4 12 hours and memorable one for bout 800 odd rasikas present.... he was in his elements straight away and did not let his enthusiasm wane down a bit thro out the 4.30 hour sojourn and i m really sure only tm krishna would be able to do this....and another interesting fact was that not many rasikas left the hall till the pallavi and it is worth mentioning....the pallavi was quite stunning and the effort that he must have put into place showed clearly and he was quite at ease while singing tri kalam and tisram.....and bhairavi was also sung in a ralaxed "sowkyam" manner....the only thing was that he cud have sung a couple of more fast pieces for those rasikas who felt restless at times as he sang bhairavi, poorikalyani and kaapi and all these were quite heavier....but all the rasikas gave a standing ovation at the end which said it all and yet another concert for tmk to prove he is "the best".

// i m really sure only tm krishna would be able to do this...//

I ain't that sure....several legends in the past have retained audience interest through marathon concerts (Some even longer than 4 hours). Talking of current artists as well, there are quite a few who could do that.

RTP for one hour... great
Poorvi kalyani by TMK.... I really miss. I have never heard him sing poorvikalyani elaborately.

I hope our stars take care of their health. Long concerts like this, once in a while is fine.

I think 4 hr concerts are pretty standard fair for overseas concerts... And most of our artistes tour internationally for 2-3 monthis a year,

I accept with Mr Suresh...I guess its only in chennai that artists give two and half hour concert...I think when they come to mumbai or go abroad they perform at least for three and half hrs...

can anyone provide some details on the viruttam? each line began with a rasa and krishna chose an appropriate raga for the particular rasa.
