y not start a separate site or give some space here for chatting among the members who r present at the same time... it will really help in developing contacts... but the discussions shud be strictly musical.....

There is a thread called something like 'Twitter'

It was mostly about plans for the day, concert-going, etc., but pretty-much serves the purpose you describe too.

santosh - this was tried a little while ago. I set up http://carnatic.chatango.com/ and some chat did take place. Unless people agree on set times, it is hard to get people to join the chat site at the same time.

ya very much like a chat function only... but i don think there is a need for set timings....it cud be accesed by regd users..... who r there at a time can share their thoughts...
