varavenum vadivela

I recently heard a recording of Thanjavur S. Kalyanaraman in which he has sung the song "Varavenum vadivela" set to Khanda Chapu. Could someone kindly identify the name of the raga and the composer. The raga is a janya of kharaharapriya (s r m d n s* - s n d m r s) and its bhava is very similar to that of gorakh kalyan of HM which omits n in the ascent. Thanks,
