It is not appropriate for you to be so (inta) deceitful (mODiyAlarA) to the lady/girl (vanitapai - literally on this girl) who has placed her trust (nammi unna) entirely in you (ninnE), Oh lotus-eyed one (vanajAkshA)!

AP: ghanuDau shrI padmanAbha karuNA sAgara nApai
Oh merciful (ghanuDau) repository (sAgarA) of compassion (karuNa), Lord padmanAbha, (it is not appropriate for you to be deceitful, and ignore] me (nApai - literally on me)[1]

C: madana janakuDau
Oh father (janakuDau) of manmathA (madana)

[1] I have noticed that in many tAna varNams, the pallavi and anupallavi usually make sense only if they are sung/translated together. Makes me wonder if the partitioning of these into P/AP/C is rather artificial and post-hoc and not something that was intended a priori.

Yes Ravi, i agree with you that the pallavi and anupallavi wouls make more sense if translated together but nonetheless i understand the meaning.

did you see my post regarding help with some tamil words, do you think you please translate one small line for me... i have been waiting but none of the rasikas are replying to me. please do check the post regarding meaning of some tamil words.
