Hi all,
I attended this concert , have a songlist for this concert but not complete. Someone who can explain technically can post it with deatils.
There was a huge crowd, most of them not leaving till the end. It was podium full too.

Podium-full, because TMK was observant enough to see older folks standing. He asked the younger ones to vacate their seats for them and to come sit on the stage.
Yes, a packed auditorium. I am waiting too, for a detailed review.
An enjoyable concert with such supportive pakka vAdyam from Amruta Murali ( who filled in for Charulatha Ramanujam), Arjun Kumar and Sukanya Ramgopal on the ghatam.

Sowmya
Thanks for the list.
HI all,
Many a time during the [Mathyamavathi alapana, firework neraval and during RTP thanam, argamalika swaram], it was "mei silirkum tharunam (tamil)" for me.
I had my cousin with me who is a newcomer to CM , and I was explaining him the basics (whatever i know), and he sat through the entire
concert completely glued to it.
I observed in the main song, in the middle of the swaram, TMK went back to neraval, and finsihed it(N) and then gave to thani avarthanam. Am I correct?

Yeah. He launched the first speed swaras without doing the customary second-speed neraval. I was surprised, but then, after every round of swaras, he did the drutagati neraval of a corresponding length, and finished with it. No swaras in second speed...rajaglan wrote:I observed in the main song, in the middle of the swaram, TMK went back to neraval, and finsihed it(N) and then gave to thani avarthanam. Am I correct?

Naadapriya,
Yes, I feel it was well advertised.
This is in thrid block jayanagar close to ICICI bank, clumax center, pai viceroy etc.
These advt come one or two weeks before the concert as a news item in Hindu supplement. I always mark it in the diary.
Many times I have missed concerts if I donot do that , as our banagalore news paper editions are poor in giving today's engagements.

Unless you get a printed brochure from the organizers or go to their website if they have one, you may not always get the right information, I am afraid. The newspapers that you get may not include the event in the Engagement section at all. If they do, watch out for errors (date, time mix-ups). Yesterday, I heard that the performer's name was substituted for the one who sang the day before, in one of the papers.
The organizers and the newspapers should look for a more effective way of avoiding errors.
For instance, a standard form which has columns for venue, date, time, event and so on--all filled in boldly and with contact telephone numbers which are reachable. Once, when I called an organizer for help and had casually mentioned my wanting to attend another concert in the area later but did not find a telephone number to call, she took the trouble of giving me clear directions to get to the venue.
Do all newspapers demand a fee for including the event in the Engagements section? I don't know...
