Alternating between LGJ award function(not able to be in standing for long)and Akandam in MA venue on sunday,9th evening the following are the kritis Ii could hear:-
*The artist imbibing a rich lineage of Dikshidhar Sishya Parampara has a wide repertoire.(having heard her in more than 3/4 Dikshidar Day events I donot find her repeating any kriti despite popular requests).
The list after I entered.
*Neerjakshi kamakshi-Hindolam.
*Mararathipriyam-Rathipriya(Rishabhapriya).Kriti on Mahavishnu-rendered in a fast pace with breezy swaram in"Govindarajam Padabjam".The Raga was well elaborated with ease equally responded well by Murari VVS.
* Sri Mangalambikam_Kanta(20).Raga Mudra appearing in Charanam"Kanaka kalasa Susaanka Khantatthi poojobakaranam".
*Hariharaputram-vasantha.*Sri swaminathaya namasthe-kamas(ragamudra?)
*Chidambaranatarajam-Kedaram.
*Sri Kanthimadim-Hemavathi-Thani-J.vaidyanathan.
*Sarasijanabhasodari-Nagagandhari.
*Venugopala-Kurinchi..(Last two of course repeated -recently heard in Hamsadhwani on 7th.)She had to carry through her time a little longer with Malladi Bros not turning up.A day well spent.Avery u seful book titled"Dikshidhar padiya Thirusthalangal"authored by Bharanidharan-A vikatan Publication"with Dikshidhar picture on the front cover by SKA..Sri S.Rajam was on sale.

BSV, the organizers, made a valiant attempt to trial-webcast live; aircel/airtel - the provider - let them down at the last moment - when they ran into technical/logistics problems. However, a time-staggered webcast of Vijayalakshmy's (extended) performance was worth waiting for and thoroughly soul-stirring - as we listened half-way around the globe in Bay Area (California) - and, I am sure, by several others worldwide. Neerajakshi kamakshi was outstanding.

Looking forward to an extensive webcast in Akhandam09...
