Here is the meaning of sAmiyai vara SolladI. Corrections/explanations welcome.

sAmiyai vara. (padam). rAgA: pUrvikalyANi. Adi tALA. Composer: K.N.Dandayudapani Pillai.

P: sAmiyai vara shollaDi sakhiyE kumara bhUmi pugazhum shivakAmi magizhum bAlan

Oh friend (sakhiyE)! Please ask/tell/inform (SollaDI) my Lord (svAmiyai) murugan (kumAra svAmI) who is praised (pugazhum) by the entire world (bhUmi) and is the son (bAlan) pArvatI (SivakAmI) delights in (magizhum), to come (vara) to me.

A: tAmadam sheyyalAgumO idu samayam kAman kaNai toDuttu kalanga sheigirAnaDi

Oh sakhI, is this time for you to create (SeiyalAgumO) needless delays (tAmadam) at this (idu) time (samayam) [1]? Can you not see that Cupid/manmathan (kAman) [2] is torturing (kalanga SeigirAnaDI) [3] by showering (toDuttu) his flowery arrows (kaNai) on me?

(ciTTasvara sAhitya)
kUDi sukham peravE tEDi avan aruLai nADi kanindurugip-pADi anudinamum
ADi alaindu manam vADi vadangudaDi kOTi puNyam tAnaDi nI pODi

Oh friend, you will reap the benefits of countless (kOTi) [4] virtuous deeds (puNNiyam tAnaDI) if you (nI) go (pODI) and explain to my Lord, murugA that my heart/mind (manam) is weary and tortured (vadangudaDI), because he has not come to me even after I have sought (nADi) his (avan) blessings (aruLai) by singing (pADi) his praises in a heart-rending manner (kanindurugi) daily (anudinamum), and have danced (ADi) and wandered (alaindu) around searching (tEDi) for him, so that I can unite (kUDi) with him and attain (peravE) bliss (sukham).

C: shollaDi manam kallODi jAlam SeivadEnaDi

Tell him (SollaDI) about my plight, and ask him if his heart is made of stone (kallODi). Ask him why (EnaDI) he is resorting (Seivadu) to artifice and gimmickry (jAlam), and avoiding me.

1: mA mati mukhattai kANa vENDum enru

(Tell him) that I need to/require (vENDum enru) to see (kANa) his moon-like (mA mati) face (mukhattai).

2: kaLLattanamum koNDu meLLa naDandu vandu tallADit-tallADi vaLLi mEl vizhundavarkku

(Tell him, who) deceptively (kaLLatanamum) assumed (koNDu) the form of an old man, and walked (naDandu vandu) slowly (meLLa), pretending to stumble a lot (taLLADi taLLADi) and fell (vizhundavarkku) on (mEl) vaLLI.

3: vaNNa mAmayil Eri ingu vara eNNamA EmATramA inda maNNum viNNum EnO
shuzhaludaDi kaNNum urangAdu kAttu nirppEn enru

(Tell him) that (enru) I will wait (kAttu nirpEn) with sleepless (urangAdu) eyes (kaNNum) forever, for him to come. Can you ask him if his intention (eNNamA) is to come (vara) here (ingu) a-top (Eri) his colorful (vaNNa) peacock (mAmayil), or does he plan to cheat/deceive me (EmATramA)? I know not why (EnO) this earth (maNNum) and the skies (viNNum) seem to be spinning (SuzhaludaDI).

4: oru nAL en kanavinil vandAnaDi perum vinai tAnaDi karuNai uLLam
aruL puriyum enrut-tavam irundum oru payanum illaiyaDi iLam paruva kAlam
tirumba varumODi manam urugi vAzhum nilaiyarumoDi idu taruNam tiru pazhani
malaiyil uraibavanai maruviDavE iru karam tuDikkudaDi

(Tell him) that this big (perum) complication (vinai tAnaDI) has come about because he appeared (vandAnaDI) in my (en) dreams (kanavinil) one (oru) day (nAL) and promised to unite with me. There appears to be absolutely no (illaiyaDI) benefit (payanum), despite undertaking (irundum) austere penance (tavam) believing that (enru) his compassionate (karuNai) heart (uLLam) would bless me (aruL puriyum). Will this time/period (kAlam) of youth (iLam paruva) ever come (varumODi) back (tirumba) to me? [5]. Will this situation (nilai) of living (vAzhum) with such a churn (urugi) [6] of my emotions/heart (manam) ever resolve (arumODI)? Both (iru) my hands (karam) tremble (tuDikkudaDI) with anticipation to caress/embrace (maruviDavE) the Lord who resides (urabavanai) in the divine (tiru) mountain/hill (malaiyil) pazhani.

FOOTNOTES:
[1]: This can also be interpreted alternately as the nAyikA asking the sakhI to address this sentiment/question to her Lord.
[2]: This equating of the handsome manmatha to Cupid doesn't work very well for Westerners, or Indian children who grow up here. In the third week of February, when my daugher was learning a new piece, the lyrics described a king as being more handsome as manmatha. The teacher explained to the class that 'he was more handsome than Cupid'. I noticed my daughter smile to herself in amusement. After the class when I asked her what the deal was, she said, 'appA, you should know that for us, especially so soon after Valentine's day, Cupid is a chubby boy in diapers. By no strecth can be called handsome'!
[3] kalanga SeigirAnaDI is literally 'making me cry/tear up' (kalangudal – to cry)
[4] kOTi or kODi is literally 'crore'
[5] What the nAyikA is alluding to is that fact that if she wastes her precious youth lamenting about her separation, will she ever get to enjoy those times again.
[6] urugudal is literally melting, but churning seems a more appropriate metaphor here.
