Thank you

Here you go - this is a corrected version from Meena's posting on another forum:

Sankar SrIgiri. rAgA: gauri (hindustani)/hamsAnandi. Adi tALA.

P: Sankar SrIgiri nAth prabhukE nritt virAjit citra sabhAmE

The dance (nritt) of Lord (prabhUkE) Sankara, the Lord (nAth) of SrIgiri (the holy/divine mount kailAS) is excellent (virAjit) in the citsabhA (citra sabhAmE)

C1: bhasm trinEtr galE ruNDamAlA bhUtankE sang nAcat bhrungI

With ashes (bhasm) covering his body, the three eyed (trinEtr) Lord wears a garland (mAlA) of skulls (ruND) around his neck (gale) and dances (nAcat) along with (sang) his bhUt gaN (bhUtan) and sage bhrungI.

2: tanana tanana nanana ghunghrU bAjE dEv munI sab gagan virAjE

As the gods (dEv) and sages (munI) shine (virAjE) in the heavens (gagan), the anklets (ghunghrU) on his feet make the sound (bAjE) tanana tanana nanana

3: dhrukuTaddhIm tadhIm tAdhIdhrunna kOTi madan jAkU dEkhE so lAjE

And as he dances to the bOls dhrukutA dhIm ta dhIm ta dhIm dhruna, he looks so handsome that countless (kOTi = crore) manmathAs (madan) would be put to shame (lAjE) if they bothered to look (dEkhE) at him (jAku).

4: tA tai takiTa taka Sruti gati rAjE padmanAbh man kamal virAjE

And as the music (Sruti) and rhythm (gati) reign supreme (rAjE), he (Sankara) blossoms (virAjE) in the heart (man-kamal) of the composer, padumanAbha (ST).

I thought the hindustAni equivalent of hansAnandI was sOhnI and not gowrI. Can someone please confirm?
