I want to narrate a small incident involving Sri Srinivas.....once my anna Easwaran was playing for him at the Vani Mahal during one of the dec season concerts. Prior to the concert beginning I went into the green room and anna introduced me to Srinivas. He was very friendly and nice. As a courtesy to him I told him that I was unable to stay for the entire duration of the concert and that I would have to leave around 8.30 to catch a train. I then requested him for a particular raga ( Nasikabushani) and indeed he played an eloborate raga during the concert. There I was completely lost in the music. At around 8.30 ( I did not notice the time) Srinivas very briefly stopped, looked at me and showed his watch to remind me that it was time for me to leave for the train. I could not help but laugh and needless to say I rushed out of the auditorium. I have met him couple of times after that. What a phenominal artist and what a very friendly person.

Dear rasikas, i've got a few of shrinivas uncle's video clips from when he was very young including this one. Don't know about you guys, but i was definitely mesmerised when i was watching him. I'll try to get my dad to add those if posssible.

Dear shadjam,

It is just probably a coincident that Sathya saw this video clipping after he performed PoornaShadjam in a concert in Coimbatore on the 7th April'08.

Many have asked Sathya to take this song "Enthamudho" but for various reasons Sathya has not taken this. But today after seeing this video before going to school, he was just craving to listen to Mandolin's track, which was gifted to him by Sri Srinivasan, Chief Reporter Indian Express, Hyderabad on the 4th April'08.

Thank you for this inspiring video and after coming from school, i am sure Sathya will learn this krithi.
