It was a very enjoyable concert. The renditions of the cintAmaNi and kharaharapriyA pieces were outstanding. The AlApanai and neraval for the main piece was beautifully rendered. It was a perfect concert in all respects including the accompanists, who made it all the more enjoyable.

did anyone attend M R Subramaniam's concert just before this one?

Preceeding this concert was a function where KVN was remembered. The speakers were Sri V R Lakshminarayanan, Sri Neelamegam, Sri M Chandrasekharan, Sri Ramanarayanan and Sri Murali. Smt Padma Narayanaswamy was also present.


The Concert of Sri M R Subramanian was at Raga Sudha

Finally one rare paTTaNam composition! And a small correction to the starting words of the ShlOkA: "sadA bAla rUpApi" menaing One who is eternally youthful in appearance.

While I am not given to commenting abt individuals physical appearances in general, Vijay Siva seems to have aged dramatically. Must say that the "senior" look goes well with his vidwat...

He has not aged. It seems as though the family has a tendency for hair loss in early years. The same with younger bro Manoj Siva. Vijay Siva has put on some weight recently, I don't deny. But his singing is as sweet and young sounding. After all, he IS young!

nice! another concert where my guru has accompanied Vijay Siva... they are an excellent combination.

Again, what line was the niraval done in for the main piece (manasuna?).

Wow, this is like the third time I have asked this question in the past 2 weeks!
