This was a concert under the LOTUS month of the conert series (www.svlotus.com).
This is not a review - But more of a song list and some more of rambling by your truly:

The concert featured compositions of Ragavan's guru, (and my favourite vocalist) Sri Balamuralikrishna. It was an excellent concert, and was very enjoyable.

Ramakriya,
Interesting to note that he sang satyamulakidi kAdu manchi kAlam in bhairavi. Indeed BMK Sir translated Purandara Dasa's work. He worked on this piece a few minutes before his concert in Atlanta a couple of summers ago. I was in the green room giving him company and he asked if I had a pen, and when I found one, he started writing it down. It was a treat to watch the Maestro at work. I can only imagine how it would be to watch him compose an original piece. He ended up singing it in the concert.
