i have heard KARYA KAARANA SWAROOPANE in surya. are there any other compositions available in the Raga??

The songs sound nice - any recordings, or pointers to commercial ones?
As an aside, some of these composers have an excellent pedigree:
Lalita Sivakumar: PMI's daughter, DKP's DIL, and Nityasree Mahadevan's mother.
Rukmini Ramani: PS's daughter, and Ashok Ramani's mother.

isnt this ragam also called 'sallAbam'???

the famous rA rA song on some recent movie is in this ragam i am told.

Sri Chengleput Ranganathan has rendered RTP in this ragam.

Sri.TVS has also sung an RTP in this raga, I hear.The movie song in this rAga-as far as I know is the one that starts with something like 'Isai.....' from the Tamil film 'Thayi Mookambika'

Yes, Dr. Mrinalini. I have heard TVS sing that pallavi: suryA sudhAkara lOchanA, sundara rAmA iis the pallavi line.

I have heard another composition in sUrya, "sUryaprakAsha mahEsha", a composition of some artiste rendered by him once on AIR. IIRC, his name is Chandrasekar...

Hallo (RBHARATH) sALLABAM IS A DERIVATIVE OF Vahulabharanam(14thMelam) whereas surya is a derivative of CHARUKESI (26th Melam) though both have the same Arohana.and Avaroh.ana
