I really like this composition because Sri ST had used 'pati' to convey a myriad of meanings:

'husband' - tArA kE pati
'ruler/king' - dEvan kE pati/bhUtan kE pati
'controller' - vidyA kE pati
'protector' - tIn lOk pati
'the best' - the rest of the examples.

The man who is good at this 'pathy' or the other is also good at explaining various patis, and a good pati you certainly are, we have no doubt...

Shri MSD has also used many 'pathis' in his kriti-'Shri guruguha tArayAshu mAm' in Devakriya(sudhdhasAvEri)
surapathi, shrIpathi,rathipathi,vakpathi,kshithipathi,pashupathi
He says that Lord Subramanya is worshipped by all these 'pathis'.
Shri DKJ used to render this kriti.
