Sri Sikkil Gurucharan - vocal
Sri Sanjeev (??) - violin (Because I could not regognize the violinist, I asked the person beside me...if anyone can confirm the name, would be appreciated)
Sri J. Vaidyanathan - mridangam
Sri B.S. Purushotaman - Kanjira

1. Intha Chalamu - Begada Varnam - Adi
2. Sri Maha Ganapathe - Abhogi - Kanda chapu - Ragam sketch, S
3. Nada Sudha - Arabhi - Rupakam - R,N,S
- Niraval and swaram at 'Swaramulu aaru'
4. Thyagaraja Palayashumam - Goulai - Adi
5. Kanavilum Unnai - Nasikabhushani - Adi - R
-This is a composition of D. Pattamal for whom this concert was in memory of
6. Ninnada - Kananda - Adi - Swaram
7. Janani - Bhairavi - Mishra Chapu - R,N,S,T

I had to leave in the middle of the swarams as I did not want to leave when the thani started so I didn't get to hear the thani which was a real shame :(. However, I must say that both J. Vaidhyanthan and Sri B.S. Purushotaman provided excellent support and had great rapport on stage - a pleasure to listen to. Further, it is always a pleasure to hear Sri SIkkil Gurucharan's voice especially in the lower panchamam. I also enjoyed swarams in both Nada Sudha (here he sang swarams to not only 'swaramulu' but also to 'vara ragamu') and Ninnada which were fast paced. FInally, I am a sucker for any Bhiaravi so I must say I loved Janani. I am only a 17 yr. old learning music so if anyone else could throw light on the concert, it would be great!

Kamakshi,

:) Great of you write the review. Age is a mere number - what counts is enthusiasm. Hope to hear more reviews from you!

Kamakshi,
Good to get a review from you.
rshankar is right. Enthusiasm alone counts. Age does not. Take some of us here. Reverse your age and you will find that we fall in that region when it comes to our chronological age!
