Concert of Prof T.N.Krishnan at Bangalore

Semmangudi centenary celebrations was underway at Bangalore and it appears that Prof. Krishnan spoke about his guru and gave a concert. Can we have some one who attended the function to post a detailed review. I heard that Vellore Ramabadhran also spoke and also sang......Bye Ragjay

I attended one at Hamsadwani Chennai where Prof:T.N.Krishnan gave an excellent speach. He narrated his experience with Semmangudi. He said he stayed at semmangudi's residence as a residential student and the affectection poured by semmmangudi on him. Besides his music lessons semmangudi encouraged his education also and his association with the great family. Semmangudi is such a wonderful person in the music world about him all musicians needs to learn lot and that is the reason for his success in the world that will carry for generations. Semmangudi's name will be remembered by the rasikas until music lives. After his speach Prof.TNK did excellent concert with Umayalpuram. By.T.P.Shamuganathan. son in law of Fiddle Mayavaram Govindaraja pillai. Mr. Pillai moved with semmangudi closely for five decades and did thousands of concerts with Semmangudi and his guru Maharajapuram. Thanks for the speace
