3. niraimadi - tirupugazh - hamsanadam

Duration 1 hour 45 minutes..

Awsome concert!! Transition from one raga to next raga was so smooth.

Pallavi started in little finger, arudhi in "vardhini"... approximate structure (i may be wrong)

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
mo ha nangi ka ma vardhi
9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 1 2
ni pahimam ananda bhairavi

she did trikalam, tishram in two speeds, and swaras in 3 ragas of pallavi (with sahitya starting where the place where raga started in pallavi) and also ragamalika swara. Tani was played after trikalam, and kalpana swaran after thani.

The korvai was in all 3 ragams.

Neela mami is here... i can't dare to write more with my half baked knowledge...:(

You spoke of transition from one rAgA to the other. That is one of her specialities, I think! Wish I had listened to her...

Neela mami has the ability to enthrall all from 6 to 60 - as an erudite member said "this is 'sangeetham'" not 'just a concert'.... it was educational to the music students, "wow" factor to us 'ordinary mortals' and began Sunday well - like the office bearer of BTM Cul. Academy said "you can only watch the closing ceremony of the Olympics after such a fantastic program" Hopefully we will see a similar program soon - February, the organizers promised

sappri,
Young as you are (my guess), you cannot go beyond sixty in your count! Old (young?) extends another decade and more :)

Good one Arasi....and agreed!

It's just one of those cliches used!
