Can anyone please give the meaning for this work of Swati tirunAl?
Especially the word khalaphani bothers me much. :)))

khala-phaNi would I think, refer to the rogue-serpent kALiya on whose hood Krishna danced.
Please post the whole lyrics for a translation

P: gAgEya vasana dhara PadmanAbha
mAmava nava jaladAnga
A: raNga stala phaNi phaNa
rAmaNIya karuNAlaya mura hara
C: vAraya pApamakhila mayi mAmita
mOhana mrudu hAsa pAta vijaya khala-
phaNi vihaga parilasa mama hridi
pannagEndra Saya sAdhu janAvana

sarasija bhava vaLa vidaLana pariNuta
krupA vAsa bhavE kshipa mA vishayE.

khala-phaNi-vihaga would mean "One who is verily Garuda to the snakes called rogues" It is a rUpaka(metaphor) similar to "animiSha-vairi-vArida-samIraNa" (one who is the powerful wind to the clouds that are asuras) found Tyagaraja's "jagadAnandakAraka".
