Hari,
Your friend was richer h(amIr) by listening to the RTP! But it was his only chance while you get to hear Sanjay many times in India.

His kid told sanjay in SD that he likes Hanumane and has seen in youtube (http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=AtaRpJoPxq4) and sanjay has sung this in LA Concert!!!

Arasi madam - any role is worth doing for a Sanjay concert!!!!! My friend said, generally after attending concert, while driving back, he and his wife will start discussion on what didn't go right in concert, and this time there was no scope for such discussions(;-

Vocalist,
Agreed! I am glad someone else speaks on my behalf in my wishing to do away with unnecessary additions to my name. We are all equal here on the forum, and age does not come into it either, in my view...

If #2 is in shrI rAga then the song is shrI bhArgavam cintayAmi by Muttiah Bhagavatar.
# 10: could it be brndAvanamadhunAmanyE by narayana Tirtha in mukhAri/punnAgavarALi?

Sanjay often sings nanda tanaya in bAgEshrI, a Purandaradasa song.

#2 - Is it sri parvathy? Sanjay sang this in Bangalore in July. He announced that it is composition of Kunnakudi krishna iyer

#8 - Were swaraksharam employed for pallavi? I have heard this sung by DKJ in shankarabaranam, and he employs swaraksharam

Lakshman ji - i think #10 is brindavanam iduvo in sudda danyasi - sanjay is popularaizing ths song in recent times. Is this papanasam sivan composition?

sankirnam - did he sing viruttam?

brindvanam iduvO in suddha danyasi, is the song Sanjay talks about in his website. It seems he sang it in Delhi and people were moved.
He says how he 'brushed up' the song after 20 yearswhen he had to sing in Nadopasana recently, and when he forgot the sahityam, how got in touch with Papansam Shri Ashok Ramani and how they both literally pracitsed it over the phone. It seems a rasika came and told him it is was exactly the same as what shri Selthalapathy Balasubramaniam used to sing.

I suppose, being a shuddhananda Bharati song, it could be tumed to a rAgA other than what is mentioned in the book.

Mohanam & Bhoop are equivalent in carnatic / hindustani system. Since it was bhajan, may be the review mentioned it as bhoop.!!
