I've been totally mesmerized by Sanjay's rendition of Sattaleni and his swaras for it. There seems to be a slight Hindustani touch to it though I might be imagining things. Also, the way he sang certain phrases reminded me of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's style (it goes like this - Sssss, Rererere, Gagagaga, SarisariSasasasa), not sure if I'm doing a good job of reproducing them. What I want to know if there's a Hindustani equivaent of the raga.

May I request that the post be made under the proper sections. This one should ideally be under Ragas and not under Vidwans and Vidushis.

Am sure the mods will shift it when they spot it....as for Naganandhini Vivadi scales are almomst entirely in the CM domain - while Hindustani musicians have experimented with several south indian scales, I don't think anyone has so far tried a Vivadhi...
